I like this church at first and really liked the way they said it up in the concert venue and the messages and the people but I went to church today and walked out of the church mid sermon because of what was said in the sermon. I joined the church with an impression of being loved and welcomed for who I was and having a group of people that would be supportive of me and except me for who I am but after hearing today’s sermon I knew this wasn’t the right church for me and I need to find a better church that wasn’t as judgmental. Long story short the pastor kept slamming homosexual‘s and I find that very offensive because me and myself I am bisexual and I have friends in the LGBTQ community and I’ve always been a big supporter of that community so I find it very offensive that the pastor was literally sitting there talking down on those people as if we’re not people but we are people because I believe God loves everyone no matter who they are.

Mathew 24:24 - For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time. Unfortunately the ministry of Jim Raley and Calvary is filled lots of corruption, misuse of gifts of the Holy Spirit and prosperity theology. These include speaking in tongues without an interpreter, fake healings, and apparent miracles. 1 Corinthians 14:27. I heard Jim speak at a revival service in Northeast Florida when I was a teenager. His Neo Charismatic background puts more a focus on the miracles, victory and blessings that you can get from Christ instead of having an actual relationship with him. He is preaching borderline heresy as this movement is very similar to the prosperity gospel. His message and method is similar to heretics like Joel Osteen, Benny Hill and Kenneth Copeland. The absence of preaching Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone is absent in his messages and method. Also, the absence of creeds and confessions is a major concern. Run for the hills, find a church that preaches Christ crucified (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16). That practices creeds/confessions (Nicene, Westminster, Heidelberg). That has a biblically sound worship experience and practices sacraments in the proper way. And actually require their pastors to go through seminary training and be ordained by a council of elders. Finally, for someone who lives in a $1,500,000 house, you might want to question how church funds are appropriated.
