Wow - some of the most RUDE behavior I’ve encountered. Most of the area was blocked off for construction, which I understand. Upon arrival I see a sign saying visitors must go to the office, and nobody was in the office. I then went into the hall and did a small mediation. Upon exiting I was met by a man who drove down from the house on the side of the property. He asked me who I was and why I was there and I told him I was in the area on business and wanted to see the temple. He basically shook his head and waved me off and didn’t seem willing to let me go anywhere. They clearly don’t like visitors and should not advertise that it is open to the public.

The abbot and staff are friendly and warmhearted. They offer yoga zen sessions and teachings on The Diamond Sutra every Sunday. We joined the yoga class for a while. Fun and relaxing.

Beautiful place that I really want to see. This will be a treasure when it is complete. But call ahead before you go. Unlike the reviewer from earlier in November, I wasn't lucky enough to be allowed past the barriers that say that the area is under construction. In addition, I did not get the feeling they are that happy about unsolicited visitors dropping in. It's not a tourist site, it is a temple.
