What an Amazing organization of Staff, Volunteers, and Contributors at Beaches Habitat. I am honored to have a beautiful, safe, and dependable home in an ideal location. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you!

Questions & Answers

If your not accepting applications.. what happens to the people in need?

Lee Saben | Nov 29, 2021
Beaches Habitat for Humanity Office | Nov 29, 2021

That's a great question, Lee, and it is one that does not have an easy answer. Our goal is to serve as many people as possible through our homeownership and repair programs. As much as we would like to, with the need as great as it is, it's not possible for us to serve everyone. Despite not accepting applications for new homes, we are still serving our community. Staff and volunteers are currently building homes for the families who have already been approved for our program and we are repairing homes for local seniors. We also have a committee actively seeking out land so that we can reopen applications for new homes. We are doing our best to refer those who contact us to other organizations and programs, such as Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Housing Authority. At the same time, we are doing everything we can to reopen applications as soon as the resources are available to do so.

I have a trailer full of old paint I want to donate for my community where can I take this paint to

Thanks for your interest in donating! Paint donations can be tricky, depending on the age and type of paint. Because we use a standard brand and color, we cannot use donated paint for construction. A Habitat ReStore MIGHT be able to take your paint. You can find contact information for your closest Habitat ReStore at https://www.habitat.org/restores.

Can I volunteer here? I have Been wanting to volunteer somewhere and give my extra time to people who need it

What are the qualifications to volunteer?

Do you take donations?

Nancy Dixon | Sep 26, 2019
Beaches Habitat for Humanity Office | Sep 26, 2019

It depends on the kind of donation. Monetary donations are always helpful. You can learn more about the different ways to give at www.beacheshabitat.org/donate. We are not able to accept donations of household goods, appliances, or paint. The best place for those is a Habitat ReStore. You can find the closest one to you at https://www.habitat.org/restores. Feel free to call our office at (904) 241-1222 if you need further information.
