Really awesome experience. I found a headlight out on my car this morning so I started calling auto supply stores for a replacement. First on the Google search was O'Reilly's. At the beginning of the call while waiting for the part to be found I mentioned that my lights were dim anyway and I was curious about the lamps being replaced because they look gnarly and I assumes that it might be the problem. Homie says, "Nope, that's your ballast and it's going to be VERY expensive." He says this like he KNOWS THIS.. Right there I decided to first find out the bulb cost, because I was considering hiring my son out to a sweatshop to cover this if it WAS the issue. So he continued hitting buttons and looking in the computer (which MUST still run on DOS because holy CHRIST it was SLOOOOW. Finally he says, "Are you ready to throw up?" (Verbatim) I replied that this was a bad omen and he told me that the price for A BULB was $139.99. (and no there's not a two pack, they must be sold separately) I thanked him and with zero confidence in a better outcome I called Autozone and the young lady looked it up and told me that there was one for 20 something and a two pack for like 30 something. I went down the gentle man that went to grab it said that they were sorry but there was no two pack in stock. Since I was his biggest fan at this point, of course I waved it off. Then he says he will try to put it in. 😍😍😍 Sadly, he could only reach in and couldn't see what he was doing he couldn't install it BUT, he directed me to a mechanic that works from home 4 blocks away. 😍😍😍😍 (AND he called the gentleman to tell him I was coming) The nicest guy that I've met in this town (Jimmy Sapp) installed the light and in seconds and charged me....wait for it.....$10 🤑. Jimmy is my new mechanic and AutoZone gets ALL of my business. PS I'm going to give the guy from O'Reilly's the benefit of the doubt and assume that perhaps he simply pulled the wrong part OR misunderstood the fact that all I wanted were the bulbs and maybe the insane quoted price was for a whole kit that came with lamp, bulb and a pot of gold. But he asked me point blank and I was clear that I was only looking for the bulbs and when I heard the price I said, "Just for the BULB? ONE BULB?" But...the ballast diagnosis without EVER SEEING MY CAR?

Been dealing with this store for years despite supply chain issues and help changeovers I still get good service. I have to mention SARAH she is a total asset to this store without her expertise this simple transaction could have been much more difficult!!! Highly recommended!!!
