I am very disappointed with how things were handled with the Sr Rattlers this past season. Our boys didn't have a end of year party because the head coach used the money to upgrade his extended barn to have game watch day prior to the games at his house which I found out later that was not approved by the league. Yet you let him turn in receipts for the counter top he he had installed. That was the team money not his. At first I thought he was going to be a good coach but that went south quick. Especially after he got in my k8ds face after he got hurt and tried to force him to play. I think he should have to reimburse the money back to the team. THIS IS NOT FAIR TO THOSE BOYS!!! I am not at all impressed with MCYFL. I think what did it in for me was my sons peewee team made it to the championship! Great, so exciting- right? Wrong. The game was scheduled to start at 9am and nobody was there to open the gate until 9am. That was annoying, but ok things happen- we stayed positive. We get inside and the “home” team (PeeWee Falcons) has their side of the stands decorated. Balloons, banners… hmph, is that why we were let in late? Okay not a fan but they’re the home team, moving along.… A board member (I think that’s what they’re called), is a coach for the other team… typical Ocala sports. He’s telling the refs what penalties to call! Ridiculous and absolutely unfair. The refs are horrible enough on their own, to be honest. Again, typical for this area. However, THE KICKER was MCYFL gambling the football away during the game! During the game they announced they would be “raffling” the game day football off and the current bid was at $150. I’m sorry, are we really betting on this peewee football game? Did the peewee Dolphins really stand a chance at winning? We may never know, but this seems to be another Ocala “ Good ole’ boy “ league and I would take your kiddos elsewhere.

I think this leauge is a joke they specifically try to hold certain teams out of the playoffs even when they have qualified. The officiating is often very one sided. I would look for other leauges for my son to play in.
