Super cool place, very quality cocktails- gives almost an underground speakeasy vibe with the light music and dim lighting. Clean everything. Not too crowded- even on a Saturday night. Would definitely go back!

It was 3:30pm on a Saturday in the heart of SF and anxious to relax at a nice bar with a cocktail and perhaps a bite to eat. Unfortunately, all the hot spots around Union Square open at 5pm. What to do? Searched Maps and found a 5 star place open! Walked over and found the Iron Horse and sat down at the bar. Very nice bartender but was quite surprised to be given a very tart iced lemon cocktail instead of a tangy green lime affair since I ordered a Gin Gimlet. I didn't mention my disappointment and I tried to enjoy it but it was just too tart. OK - not a catastrophe. But when I then inquired about the availability of some munchies like peanuts or popcorn or the like and was told that there was no food at all I then began to wonder how this place warranted 5 stars. Certainly 3 and perhaps 4 but definitely, not a 5 star place.
