If you are coming for only a couple days, and its on the weekend, this campground is great! If you are planning on staying longer and during the week, it's only great if you have an incredibly large RV/Motorhome and plan on spending a long of time inside the RV, or at the campsite, and you better home you have an awning on your RV, or a pop up tent because there are no trees for shade. The trees that they do have are tiny and provide little to no shade. The go carts and the putt putt are all extra, and they are overpriced. The go carts gave my daughter a couple of huge bruises on her bottom and she only went once. This is not a campground for tent campers or smaller campers. The website bosts that it's the #1 family campground in Michigan but there are literally no activities for the kids during the week, only on the weekend, and even then they are very sparse. The pool is nice, but there isn't much to it. The playground is also nice, but again, not much too it. It is basically 2 structures that you might find in someones backyard. The price of ice is absolutely ridiculous, so make sure to leave the campground to buy ice. The doors to the bathrooms were incredibly heavy and hard to open/close. They mowed every singe site on the same day, even if someone was camping on the site. They moved items out of the way and didnt put them back. Thet weedwhipped around your camper and removed wood from your firepit before you were done with it. There was also someone that would come around and video the whole campground daily. We were supposed to stay Saturday-saturday, but decided to leave Wednesday instead as there was nothing to do.

We love to come here. 2 weeks ago was our 3 year in a row in June. Had to extend our stay throughout the day on Sunday without any trouble for an extra 20.00 till 7pm. Bath house was clean. Staff has been nice and not seen very often. Never been told to be quiet or any issues with staff. Nice grassy sites with gravel pads. Have had pleasant experiences.

An unfortunate review... I actually quite enjoyed my time at the grounds themselves, but the office staff awful. We came into town on a Saturday and booked a two night stay -- we're so satisfied with the amenities that we decided to extend for three more nights. I contacted the office, spoke with Jessica, and asked to extend my stay -- she happily obliged and when I asked for my new total (from check in to check out -- Saturday to Thursday) she told me it would be $231. I was shocked because the weekend nightly rate was $72 a night -- and to pay so little for so many more days it seemed to be a great deal. Well, then the charges came in. They charged me $144 for Saturday and Sunday night. They charged me $10 for an extra car that I did not have. They charged me $20 for a late check out that never happened. And, they charged me $231 for Monday night through Thursdays checkout... which also included a $10 charge for an extra car that I did not have. I called and spoke with a "manager" named Heather, who was argumentative, accusatory, disrespectful, and unaccommodating. When I asked for an explanation of what the charges were, these are the answers I received: $144 -- "Saturday and Sunday night." $10 -- "An extra car." When I told her I only had one vehicle, she moved on to the next charge, and did not offer to or remove it. $20 -- "Late Checkout". When I told her we checked out at 12PM she stated that they had proof of late checkout. When I asked what proof, she said that "someone drove by and saw our rig pull out at 3:30PM." When I informed her that was impossible and that we have video footage of our rig being pulled into our storage at 2:45PM in Warren, MI more than an hour away, she interrupted me and told me we checked out late and the fee is valid. $231 -- "Extended Stay". When I explained to her that I spoke with Jessica to extend our stay, and when we asked what the total was from check in to check out she stated "$231", and that we were happy with that because it seemed the weekday rate was much lower... she stated "it's $72 per night every night for your site..." and when I asked how she was coming up with the math, she stated "you were charged $10 for a second car." It was quite clear that our conversation was going to go nowhere, and they were not going to honor the $231 as we were told. So I requested an escalation to her superior/the owner, to which she declined. When I asked why, she hung up the phone on me. I called back, got an associate, who then provided me with a generic email and advised that there was no extension or direct line of contact to the owner and that she was "just doing her job." So, I sent an email that day requesting owner escalation. I received no reply for 3 days, sent a follow up email and received a call about 10 minutes later from Jessica, the "most senior manager", also the woman who was responsible for this mess. While Jessica was decent on the phone, she stated the charges were valid, and that they would not be adjusting anything off -- and when challenged on the extra car and late checkout fees, she too said nothing. When I asked to speak with the owner, she stated "the owner employs me to handle things like this -- I'm handling it." When I said I was not satisfied and continued on she asked me if I could hold so she could take another call -- to which I declined, she made time to call me, why should I hold so she can help another guest? She put me on hold anyway. As the owner of several businesses myself, if a consumer ever had a problem with my/our services, my/our staff, and requested an escalation, my/our staff would see to it that I am looped in to address the issue/concerns and see that the consumer walks away satisfied... even at the expense of a dollar lost. That character is not represented here, and the blatant greed and mismanagement of this place will surely ripple through to the consumer, not just once with me, but again and again. I will not return, ever. And I've taken the charges up with my bank. Buyer beware!

ESCORTED BY POLICE for violating their rug policy. From day one the ground was and continued to be wet and soggy covered in straw. We had to remove our rv rug due to management but they did not care if we had to track in mud or straw in our rv. We were constantly harassed daily by phone calls, emails and text messages if we put our rug out. These people are rude and ignorant and overpriced with NO sewage set up. We stayed for two months and paid our rent on time and still got treated terribly. We were threatened and harassed and given 4 hours to vacate their campground over a rug. Do not stay here!

Yes they do monthly or yearly
No
I believe as long as it is a newer model.
Monthly is $700 but they don't have any available after memorial day.
The sites listed as "full hook-up" do indeed have sewer.
Not sure but right now it's $700 a month and next month it goes up to 800 for the summer. Its nice, but pricey.
Just your own trailer
There are long term seasonal sites at Harbortown, but I do not know availability. It's always best to call.
I believe they are 8ft... there were 6 of us using one and had plenty of space..
You have to contact office.
Yes
Yup we have a big dog (112#) and a little guy. No issues no questions about the breed, or shot records. We always carry our shot records anyway.
They do at a premium rate. It will cost you a little bit more
Cabins are a little cheaper than that but no pets in cabins
All you have to do is head east and you'll run into Lake Erie. There are many pull offs all around the area, one will definitely have some fish!
It costs a couple $ for a visitor pass... 4/car i think... and there is no water slide Kim
