just funnin
Kinda like a box of chocolates - you never know what you'll get. Yes, the staff is very kind. Yes, a neighborhood pharmacy is convenient. We don't need/take daily meds, so our experiences are generally for vaccines. A bit of a wait is expected and no issue. Today was my third attempt at a flu shot (over a month or so), and the third time I've been turned away. 1st time (no appt system) they were very busy. 2nd time (no appt system) it was an inconvenient time for them: one pharmacist, two others, and not one person waiting for service could be seen. 3rd time, by appointment only (who knew?! I don't hang out there to see new signs go up) and MANY people were lined up waiting. I explained this was my third time being turned away. They offered to call other locations for me to go to, and then ultimately offered to fit me in: could be a half hour, could be more than an hour. It's no longer a mystery to me why so many respected neighbors, in casual conversations, recommend their doctor's offices or the Health Department for vaccines: consistent systems in place - you know what to expect.

Because the pharmacist can give you good advice about your meds without making you feel dumb.
