My wife and I are huge fans of John MacArthur and his approach to 'verse by verse' expository preaching. After looking into a number of churches, I thought I would never find a church or a pastor who would model the style and truth exemplified by Grace Community Church / Grace to You (John MacArthur's Church in Sun Valley, CA). Pastor Lance Waldie does an outstanding job of teaching the details and meanings behind every verse. We both enjoy the services so much, we are both very happy to attend the Wednesday Night Bible Studies which are quite lively with questions and answers the entire time. We also like their approach to the Sunday service. The music consists of traditional hymns that are sung in a way that help you to focus on worship, instead of feeling like you are watching an American Idol performance. Also, each service ends humbly in prayer with no dim lights, no altar calls, and no offering baskets are passed around for donations. This is a church of believers for believers. If you want to hear the truth, based on 100% focus on the Holy Scripture and nothing else, or "The Gospel according to Jesus," in 100% truth, this is your place. This church will ensure you and your family travel the difficult path towards the narrow gate to an eternity with Christ. Congratulations to Pastor Waldie (and his supporting cast, including his wife Cheryl), for creating a true church for Jesus followers (true believers) that is 100% grounded in the Holy Bible. If you want to deepen your knowledge of Christ and the Bible, this is the church for you. May God Bless this church with every advancing step. BRAVO!

My family and I have benefitted from various ministries offered at HBC over the past few years including Awana and VBS, which is led by wonderful leaders who really love the kiddos.. More recently, we have been attending on Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings.The B-I-B-L-E is taught and followed. Fellowship is sweet and encouraged. The pastor is actually a shepherd! Rare find. So thankful!
