One of the best places in the Capital District - their fish and chips are excellent, and their Shepherd's Pie is outstanding. Over the years, they have had some other Irish-themed menu offerings that were very good, but these have faded into history as the restaurant has settled into middle-age. this is fundamentally a neighborhood bar that draws patrons from all over the capital district. It's especially welcoming in the winter when there is a fire in the grate. Unfortunately, the small space and low ceiling conspire to make the noise level a bit too heavy - its hard to carry on a conversation when the place is crowded.

Great pub food. Everyone I was with enjoyed what they ordered. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. They have outdoor seating, but it is limited, not covered, and off of the street. Still an excellent spot to enjoy some eats & drinks!

Staff were extremely nice and the food was brilliant. I'm full and I feel extremely good about it. The kitchen stayed open late and they did not sacrifice quality for our last minute order. Highly recommend this place for the people and the food. I want everyone to know a out it, but at the same time I don't because I want it all to myself 😅 don't sleep on this place, or you'll wake up grumpy.

Late lunch and the place was relatively quiet. Had a delicious pastrami on rye and it was very good! My wife enjoyed the turkey sandwich and we agreed it was a very nice lunch at the bar Service was excellent.
