Loved having this service in Philly. Changing the bucket out every week was a game changer. Would be nice if they partnered with entire apartment buildings to get to a bigger scale

This composting service is really easy to use and has decreased my waste by A LOT. I'm probably putting out a trash can once a month (if even) rather than weekly. I'm a household of one and I eat mostly veggies. Contrary to what I thought, having a compost bin in my apartment actually eliminated smells in my kitchen because now all of my produce goes into a sealed container rather than my loose-lidded trash can :) It's also lovely to know that instead of my kitchen scraps going into landfills, they'll be used to make nutrient rich soil!

The customer service is incredible! 10 out of 10, 5 stars, will continue to recommend to all my friends level of customer service experience.  I've diverted 2+ years of food waste with Bennet. They've never missed a pick-up, quick bucket replacements, free compost annually, and email responses within a day. My house plants also loved the potted plant mix I got them for repotting and Bennett provides compost to my local park <3

Will Bennett take a compostable plastic liner with the compost?

Hi Rebecca. Thanks for your question. We can take the compostable plastic liner as long as it is BPI certified compostable.

Is your compost tested for contaminants like pesticides, fecal coliform, bacteria etc?

Yes, they have been tested at Penn State's lab and came back with negative results for contaminants.
