Water damage from leak in attic on a broken drain pipe. Adam and his crew removed over half of ceiling drywall, installed plastic sheathing to isolate the attic and set up dehumidifier to dry up ceiling joists. The team took time to protect unaffected areas. They came back three days later to take readings on the affected area. They were thorough, efficient, and courteous. My hat is off to Adam and his team.

Amazing! I don't even know where to start. PuroClean is fast, efficient, professional and responsive. Everyone from Adam and his crew to the office staff were on the same page which is refreshing. We have used other companies in the past for water damage claims and PuroClean blew them out of the water. I will never use anyone else. Highly recommend without reservation.

Adam and his crew were very courteous. I’m very conscientious about who I let inside my home, and they were all super professional. My wife has an immune disorder and they were all wearing masks to keep her safe as possible the whole time. They were fastidious about finding the leak and the damage it caused. Always responded to calls or texts immediately, and got the job done. I am a renter so the owner paid, so I can’t comment on the price, but the owner was happy as well. All in all, I’ll never call anyone else for this kind of service. good work guys!

Adam and his team did a terrible job from the get go. They didn't start the restoration at my property until a week after the incident. My pedestal sink (which shouldn't have been affected by the water damage) is now missing. There was feces tracked through the house and not cleaned (except in the area directly around the toilet). When my contractor came in to fix the damage after Puroclean left he pulled off some of the baseboards and literally squeezed water out of them even though everything was supposed to be dried. There was mold in the bathroom still. I can't believe my insurance company is paying them over $8,000 for such shoddy work. I will never be using this company again.

The key to preventing mold growth is moisture control. There are many ways to achieve this including repairing leaks in your home—from walls, roof, gutters, plumbing pipes, etc., keeping indoor humidity at about 30-50%, ventilating appliances that generate moisture, getting your HVAC system inspected annually, cleaning gutters, and using materials such as mold-resistant paint.

Can I use water to put out a fire?

It depends on the specific nature of the fire. The BEST plan is to have at least 1 "ABC" fire extinguisher in your home. They are rated for ever type of fire. If you know the fire does not involve electricity or grease (in a kitchen) or another type of fuel - then water is fine. If you have any doubt about your ability to put out a fire very quickly, the best course of action is to leave the home with all of your family and to call the fire department - from OUTSIDE of the home.

What happens and what are the effects when water floods my home or business?

When water contacts drywall, it sags and disintegrates. You will see paint bubbles and peeling as the water wicks up the drywall. If water dwells in your property for any length of time, wood structures begins to swell. The glue holding your particle board kitchen and bathroom cabinets dissolves, causing them to crumble. Third, water-soaked carpets “delaminate.” Delamination is the term for carpet that pulls away from its backing. Once this happens, the carpet is permanently ruined. Fourth, water damage can short-out electrical systems. This can cause fire and shock hazards and damage to electronic equipment.
