Hi. I am new to the hobby. Recently purchased a 55 gallon and came with a female convict, electric yellow lab(sex unknown), a a good sized pleco, and a few bichirs. The ornate bichir is about 12 inches. Would a frontosa cichlid be a good tank mate?

Hi...yes and no. All the fish you mentioned are aggressive, so just make sure you have plenty of hiding spots and that the Frontosa is at least the same size or slightly larger (since he is new to the tank). Always hit and miss when adding new fish thatbare aggressive and territorial. See my youtube video about this⬇️

I have fresh and saltwater fish. Saltwater definitely takes more effort and more frequent maintenance. I only stock a few fish, I mostly order per customer request. Once I get the fish, I can quarantine it for 30 days to make sure they are free of any disease. Thanks for your inquiry and I hope I answered your questions.
