I have worked closely with Nate and Nicole. They are always available to take my call and are readily available to help any of our families here at Valley View Retirement. If you are looking for a compassionate and consistent Home Care Agency. Home Watch Caregivers is right for you!

This company was recommended to us by a nursing colleague of mine as she knew the owner. I’m extremely disappointed. They seemed nice in the beginning. However, when care began, we had several different caregivers taking care of my mother-in-law. We had to constantly teach them what our expectations were. They finally started booking a consistent caregiver. The caregiver is nice and seems to like her job but we have had problems with her falling asleep while on duty and not doing what we’ve asked to be done. She constantly needs to be asked to do things instead of just doing it independently. The worst thing, when the caregiver is sick or can’t work her shift, they don’t communicate well and never send a replacement. I’m a nurse manager and I work early morning to late evening. My husband works long hours and is sometimes out of town. We contracted with this company because we need a reliable, independently motivated caregiver for our loved one. This place definitely didn’t provide what they promise. As I said, very disappointed. We will be searching for a more reliable company who can provide top quality care.

Marilyn, This is a great question and the short answer is that a caregiver is not able to independently lift a 220-lb client. This is dangerous for the caregiver and client. However, the more complete answer is that the client should have equipment to help them transfer and the right equipment depends on whether the client is weight bearing, bed-bound, etc. I would recommend two things: 1. Call 208-350-7269 and schedule an assessment. 2. Call Amramp at 208-409-4514 and Bill can help assess your equipment needs, if any exist. Although I could tell you to hire 2 caregivers to do this job, very often the right equipment and a well trained caregiver can do it just fine . . . and save you money too!
