Pleasantly surprised for the rate paid - the hotel in general was very clean and well cared for, and the bathroom was impeccably spotless. This hotel shows pride of ownership. Covered motorcycle parking at the rear as well as some picnic tables for the evenings when we wanted to socialize was a huge bonus for our large group. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was very basic but got the job done. We will be back!

The Westgate inn is a lovely place to stay, in the main building. I have stayed at the Westgate at least a dozen times, and every time a pleasure. I see a very low rating and unhappy review here, and it sounds like the person was placed in the Westgate smoking building, which is the straight one story building a few paces away from the main non-smoking building. From how nice the main building is, I would venture to say that the owners are experienced, hard-working people who learned long ago to protect their investment from damage by separating the smoking rental rooms from the main building. I have stayed in many hotels and motels over past 27 years, with my travel. I cannot tolerate a room that has been smoked in even if it is immaculate otherwise. I love the westgate inn. The breakfast is generous which is included in room price. The water pressure is great, the rooms lovely, the living room area next to lobby is delightful, where you can linger, have your breakfast. I have chatted with other guests several times during breakfast availability. I have also always experienced cordial chat with several employees, and once saw the owner as I was having breakfast. I love the elevator, too, as I am older. I highly recommend this hotel, and, as I said before, am quite surprised to see a negative review here.

We loved our stay here. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We stayed for almost a month and everyday we were treated like family. Kudos to all the girls that work there.
