Hi Lani, The Public Housing and Section 8 New Construction waiting lists are open. There are three high-rise apartment properties that are designated for the elderly or disabled, and 10 scattered site duplexes for families. You can download an application from www.bcacha.org, or pick one up in our office at 1276 River Street, Suite 300, Boise, ID 83702. Once your application is received, a letter will be sent out to let you know your name has been added to the waiting list and the anticipated wait time. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Thank you, Donna
You have to get ahold of The Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority. I am not sure. I was told I am in a different kind of housing, not section 8
Anita - please give us a call at (208) 345-4907.
It's a secret very top secret how you apply online if you want a quicker response you apply in person
This list is years long and applicants wait for a limited number of public housing apartments. With COVID, normal attrition was slowed even more as residents tended to stay in their current homes rather than choose other options. We thank you for your patience. Ann
There should be a box on the right or the bottom to add
We recommend that you contact the people at Idaho Legal Aid Services - (208) 746-7541.
The Section 8 waitlist opens for a period of a few months this every 2-3 years. The most recent opportunity to get onto the waitlist was June-Sept of 2019, so you would have to wait for it to open again.
You first goto the homeless shelter an apply for housing and then the homeless shelter will have vouchers for you to continue on to sub stainable living. Hope that helps you out
I not sure of a cheap place.but try angies list.good luck.
Are you a voucher holder? or a potential landlord?
No, you don't qualify if you're coming from California
No
Our network servers have been down due to the move but our phone systems should be back up and going now!

If it is section 8 housing then you can transfer anywhere in the country. You have to request it in writing to your representative and they will let you know what to do, also you have to be in housing for 1 year before you can transfer.
I'm not sure what private sector housing is but I know it's section 8 housing.
Currently our Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waitlist is closed and we are not accepting applications However, the waitlists for our Public Housing at Capitol Plaza, Franklin Plaza, and Shoreline Plaza are still open. You can visit our website at bcacha.org to apply for those waiting lists. You can also check back on this same website for updates on all of our waitlists. Hope this helps!
We don't. Your Dad might try "Housingidaho.com"....it's a search website and it might have a way to screen for things like your dad's background. Sometimes individual landlords are easier to work with than property management agencies that have set policies they won't change. Good luck and thanks for looking out for your Dad!
We don't have emergency housing. Does this lady know about "Our Path Home"? I'd recommend starting there? 503 S. Americana Blvd....
Ok thank you i work here in Twin for the school district and i work at a care center in the kitchen. Do you know if there are any places like that that are hiring in Boise or Nampa area?
Yes, that would be fine.
Like to buy a good home
The income guidelines are on the website. It depends on the program you are interested in.
Yes they can, however I submitted my apps for the public housing lists the day after they opened and suggest you do so quickly as I was told to expect to wait approximately two years. They were not starting at #1 the list is already that long but get on it anyway. If you visit socialserve.com you will find mostl of the available sliding scale, section 42 and section 8. Housing options by state and zip code. All of which have waiting lists, however most do not require application fee and none I found require any fee to be placed on their lists. Most lists are lengthy but no one I know of will find or guide you to any of them. Apply to as many as you can I have been looking for months and I have been approved for deposit and first month paid through CATCH there is help out there to pay but it's up to you to find something you can qualify and afford.. Good Luck Keep Smiling!
I need section 8 i need help with my rent im already in low income apt please help me..
Can you provide me with more specific information about the name of the handbook?
