My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here. The food and service did not disappoint! I would have loved a better table, perhaps with a better view. They placed us in a booth in the corner, which I assume was for a more intimate vibe. But it was a little awkward with the table legs from the pedestal under the table on that tiny platform; you have no place to put your feet...like it was meant for a built-in table, not a cafe table. All in all, it was lovely, and the service was excellent. We would recommend this restaurant.

Nice and quiet place for brunch

We're visiting Boise from SoCal. We met some locals at a bar and they suggested Richards for brunch. The bartender chimed and said good things too so we gave it a shot. It did not disappoint. It had a lot of the same things as a traditional weekend breakfast joint - a decent amount of options, good drinks, good service - without the +30 minute wait for a table.

We made a reservation for a quick lunch because we saw they have a patio. Upon arrival, we learned the patio was not open until September. No servers. So we sat inside. They did not have a bartender so we could not have any sort of cocktail or mocktail. They were out of shrimp, chicken, & pesto. We ordered burgers which said kobe but were definitely not. The menu said it came with a gorgonzola garlic spread. It did not. We asked for it and they brought us gorgonzola crumbles instead. We inquired again and were then brought melted gorgonzola...so no spread. Our server was kind, she apologized for the kitchen. Apparently the chefs/cooks were new. Ok, but it is literally their JOB to know the menu. The service was friendly but the food barely mediocre...seems like they could use a little help. Our server stated that she knew our lunch did not go well...no sort of compensation was offered. It is what it is, but we overpaid for those burgers today.
