I'm new to Idaho and living in a fairly remote place, so I drive a long way to get to the potter's center. 100% worth it. They have a great assortment of materials and equipment, but more importantly they are super knowledgable and helpful. I'm working on setting up my first personal studio and they've really gone above and beyond for me--helping me find just what I need, calling when they have ideas or product, and all around helping this process go smoothly for me. A particular shout out to Kyle whose help I've really appreciated. Highly recommend the potter's center!

EDIT following the Potter’s Center response below: we DID reach out before posting a review, in person actually, and the offer to us was $5 off us buying something else from them. No thanks. We had a really disappointing experience here. We took the Date Night beginner’s pottery class in February. That was fun. However, I went to pick up our finished pieces *a week after* the requested time, and was told that no one knew anything about our pieces and to come back some undefined time in the future to check again. Ok. We returned a week later and found just half of our pieces, and they were broken. My husband is a intermediate ceramicist and recognized that the pieces were baked onto the kiln shelf and then broken off the shelf by the person that removed them (they did not break during the firing). There was no note, no ‘please see us at the desk’ - just two useless shards. I am so disappointed! When my husband returned for his piece, the attendant told him that they had turned the kiln too hot and they broke the pieces. When he asked for some reimbursement, the attendant offered him $5 off a future purchase from their store. This is really disappointing on multiple levels and I am too sad to even return to try again, if they had even offered another shot.
