I had called West Vet about 6-7x throughout the day my dog went into labor. They were amazing. The staff were super friendly and so helpful for me and coaching me through the process so I could be there for my dog. I'm so thankful I got a hold of them. My dog had 5 healthy puppies! 3 males and 2 females. Definitely worth 5 stars for me!

How kind that were to help a lil kitty that'd been hit by car. The owner has no $$ for any expenses. They let the kitty cross the bridge, out of pain & peaceful at no charge. Thank you so much for this!

They take advantage of you when your at your lowest point. They lie and tell you they will keep costs low then after you sign the care plan and put down a MASSIVE deposit they call you minutes later to tell you that they changed thier mind and you can throw those savings out the window. Avoid this place.

I called West Vet about an emergency for one of my animals. They told me to come right in and there was virtually no wait. When I arrived, they told me it would be around 45 minutes. 4 hours later, they called me into a room for a consult. The Vet was very bad at communication, and put out what I would describe as incomprehensible sentence fragments. They wanted in the neighborhood of $1000 to diagnose my pet. I Googled the costs of these services and saw that the prices were incredibly inflated around the tune of 3x. I refused all services and took my pet to a real Vet the next day. If you like high pressure sales pushed on you when you're worried about your animals from an unprofessional staff, then West Vet is for you. Even before I left, one of the techs was telling people to go to the other 24 hour vet, promising them they would get better care there. Sheesh.

I'm very sorry to hear this is something you have to consider. They do perform euthanasia. As they're a specialty clinic / ER, my experience with all reasons for a visit is that it's a bit more expensive than routine care vets might charge. As with most vets in the area, they do have an agreement with a pet crematorium and can handle passing your instructions on.

Westvet is open 24/7 and an ear visit is $100.00. I'd definitely take your furbaby in to be checked out.

No, WV is not a large animal or general practice vet. If it is a special case that a family DVM cannot perform, then a referral to the surgery service is needed.
My dog was in ICU for four days there. They have a 24hr staff and you can visit anytime, just call ahead.
