Within days of having a gel dip, the polish started to crack. I've never had that happen. Within a week, I had to a set of acrylics put on because nearly all of the tips of my nails cracked off and ripped. I don't know if it was the application process or quality of the dip.

U do not need an appointment u can walk in but u need to wait just a few min ok gun.
They were when I went last week if that helps. I made an appt tho.

Yes, I've seen the sterile equipment by the bathrooms that they pull the manicure and pedicure instruments from for each customer. The only thing I'm unsure of is the nail files and drills as those don't seem to be changed or cleaned for each new customer.
Don't know from experience but i would imaging they would be. Not a lot of them speak English but the counter people do
