Support your local library! Get a library card!! Their book selection is great along with their available video game, movie, and audiobooks. The check out times are long enough and they offer generous extensions. I spend all my time on the top floor where the adult books are located, and find it very comfortable. They have good wifi which is really great because sometimes my cellular reception in Rocklin can be terrible. An elevator is available for those that can’t use the stairs. Staff are nice and other library patrons are courteous. Bathrooms are very clean and a water fountain is available. I love coming here to do homework, I have a PC at home but prefer the quiet and productive space that the library provides.

Huge first floor dedicated to children and young adults. The train table is back! My two year old was engaged while my five year old picked out books. Perfect set up for an afternoon trip with both kids.

If you're looking for something to read in peace and quiet and not that far from your house, then this is the place to do so!

I think the only place for typewriter use now is the museum.
Yes, you can print from the public computers. It is .15 per copy and they are black and white.
Hi Dana, please bring your photo ID and proof of address to your neighborhood library and we will be happy to create an account for you. For more details, visit https://www.placer.ca.gov/2114/Get-a-Library-Card Thank you!
Hi Janis, you welcome to use any of our Placer County Library locations, including Rocklin, and need not be a resident of the city to check out materials. While we are in the same geographic area, the City of Roseville has a different library card than the Placer County Library locations so you will need to obtain another card to check out items here. See https://www.placer.ca.gov/2114/Get-a-Library-Card for more information. Thank you!
Hi, please check our website at https://www.placer.ca.gov/2093/Library for information about our Rocklin location. Thank you.
It is free. Anyone can walk in and pick a spot to study.
On the 1st floor, there is a community room that costs money to rent but you can talk to staff if there is no one in the room, there are stipulations involved when you aren't renting it. On the second floor, there is a free first come-first served (no reservations) study room, however it has designated use by Placer Adult Literacy Sevices so you may get asked to give up the room for them as they are a library program. Their schedule is posted on the study room door.
You can stop by the Rocklin Library to pick up logs and a calendar. The list of events is also available on the library website, Facebook, and Eventbrite.
No, they do not. But you can look into renting the community room which has a mounted projector and screen for use.
Go to the library website. Look for ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT - close to the bottom of the webpage. Click on it. Follow instructions. Or call or visit the library.
It is through AARP.
There is an outside group affiliated with AARP that provides tax services at the library during tax season.
Visit the library's page at placer.ca.gov/library and click on the "Access My Account" link. Enter your card and pin and then you should be able to renew the items as long as there are no holds on it and you have not reached your limit of renewals for the item. Contact the branch if you have problems.
The library does not have fax services.
