Just an ok hotel. Probably nicer 15 years ago or so but it’s showing it’s age now. Banged up furniture in rooms, stained couches in the hallways, and the carpet on the main stairs needs replacing. We stayed with a very large party-at least 10 rooms, and I really felt like they just don’t care about making guests feel welcome. They’re are a few very good employees but the rest spoil it for them. Some things we noted: there is a fire pit but they don’t want you using it. There is a gas fired table top “fire pit” that is NEVER on. There is a “server” in the breakfast area in the morning but they will not let you know that they are there to do more than just bus tables and can get things for you or even fix you up a Bloody Mary. (Detail we found out from a different employee) There is a brick paver walkway to the lobby entrance that really really needs re-doing. The elevator stinks like mold. Peeling wall paint in the shower area of our room. Nobody cleans up during the day and an empty beer bottle sat in the hallway for days. There’s so much more that could be added to this list but I think by now you get the picture. If you’re in a pinch it’s an ok spot to sleep but I won’t be recommending this hotel to anyone I know. Too many better options in the area, many for a much better price without having an attitude. (Talking to you suspenders manager in the restaurant.)

My daughters wedding was this past weekend at the Common Man Inn. We had a great time and everything was perfect!! Kaitlyn and her team did an amazing job. The food was awesome and the service was great. We had our rehearsal dinner there as well. I would definitely recommend the Common Man Inn for a wedding. Thank you again for all of your help Kaitlyn!

There was not a single unpleasant element of our stay. I staying overnight as I was presenting at a conference held there. Every staff from housekeeping, front desk to event went out of their way to help. No one said, that's not my job, or even implied it by calling the front desk. Housekeeping helped me move my luggage cart of supplies, without my asking. Conference dinner and brunch were excellent. There is a a small cafe where you can get a simple breakfast to order for free and coffee and teas anytime from 7 am - 9pm. Gift shop has unique items to the area and the theme. It is set in an old lumber mill where toothpicks, matches and popsicle sticks were made. Old photos of the lumberjacks, and mill workers, and old Plymouth line the corridors. Items from an old sled that looks like it was used for lumber, to an antique cash register abound. The rooms are all unique and don't look like a typical hotel room, lots of handcrafted beds. I would return in a heartbeat. It has a rustric, comfortable feel yet it feels luxurious.

BEWARE OF THE LODGE! We booked through the common man inn website and were shown images of their beautiful inn. The only room available was at the lodge. I googled and researched the lodge and everything that came up was the inn. I figured it was just another addition. We check in and we were told we were at the off site location a quarter mile down the road. We drive down to find a dirty old motel building with no character or anything the inn has to offer. We call the front desk and they transferred us to Byron the manager. I explained that this was not what we were expecting. Nowhere on the booking did it mention we were off site. He explained that this location was just purchased and they plan to get it up to the same standard as the inn. It should be advertised that you are off site and it's a dungeon of a motel. He offered us a discount and it's all we could get. It's not his fault and he was about the only thing pleasant about this place. Disappointed to say the least. We also ordered chocolate truffles to the room and weren't there when we arrived.

Yes
I don't think they ask. But if you pet is from the mouth I suggest leaving it in the car till after you get your room key.
