Child haven needs to be investigated. How do you get your children taken for whatever reason when they are definitely guilty of neglect of the babies that are there. My baby was there from 8/19/2022-9/2/2022 and was sick upon leaving and I as a parent who has lost no parental rights was not notified or contacted. Over the weekend, she was transported from 1 hospital to another with a temp of 103 and low oxygen levels, took covid tests for all 5 strands that came out negative however, was diagnosed with rsv which is a life threatening virus. Something needs to be done here.

First off child haven is great they have improved a ton over the years. I don’t think staff get much credit they are truly a blessing I was in care from a young age, I know everyone that works here. I was raised by the most caring and understanding people who I consider my family. Every one has biased opinions on being here but in truth it’s what you make of it. Kids who say it’s horrible are the ones who run away and don’t try to accept the help these people here are always doing the most they can for the children. It’s so easy to do the right thing. Kids, and Teens need to accept that these adults are not your enemy they don’t make the rules they follow them. They’re Always trying to do new fun activities for the children and teens. Every second Thursday of the month was always my favourite retired police officers would show up and bring pizza, drinks and ice cream sandwiches for the the children and teens. Without fail they would be there. The workers always help the children and make it enjoyable because they know it’s not fun being there but always do there best for every child. Events, donors, and outings all of it is amazing if you just give it a chance. Kids don’t see that these people only want to help you get to your destination of where you plan on going. They always have your best interest in mind. I always felt safe at child haven because I knew that these staff were always doing all they can to make me feel safe. They give you clothing and shoes if you don’t have any keep hygiene products underwear socks you name it. Even the nurses play with the kids because they are good people. I’m very thankful for every single individual at child haven I’ve grown into a successful young women because of them. Forever grateful for the people who raised me and hope to work here in about a year. Some of the best people who you’ll ever come across. Trust me they don’t get paid enough if you asked me with the things they go through here. They never complain they don’t do it for the money trust when I say they only want to help you. From experience I can say child haven is by far an amazing place don’t fret about your child because they are in the hand of Great people. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much for raising me and giving me the best advice and care throughout those years. Truly blessed to have meet all the amazing people who work here I look forward to our next meeting this time I’ll be right alongside you all as a team member. I might just take Mr. Patrick’s seat just maybe. I can’t wait, until then I’ll be working towards my goal and continuing to thrive at life because of your teachings much love.
