Michael's is leaps and bounds better than Joanne's except for fabrics. Which makes a lot of sense as it's in the name for the latter. In terms of what Michael's has over Hobby Lobby I cannot say, but that is mostly because I won't shop at Hobby Lobby. Their - Hobby Lobby - paint brush selection is weak, and they are more expensive you see, and I just cannot tolerate that sort of thing. So, Michael's it will always be for me. Unless I need to make a pillow. Really, the best thing for both stores would be to have Joanne's operate the fabrics inside of Michael's and then everyone wins. I imagine the savings for both of the companies AND people would be present immediately in myriad ways near/long term. Convenience baby, we all love it to death so why not!?
