Best library I've been to. It has a play area for kids,a ton of books to look for like graphic novels, chapter books, cook books, books about animals, and more!It also has an upstairs for adults and middle ground downstairs for older kids and if your kid(s) get bored of the toy area there are computers by the books and in the middle ground. There is also a room in the lobby called a launch pad where you can make cool stuff like yarn bracelets and so much other cool stuff.Outside there is also a park where kids can go have fun and make new friends. So If you haven't gone yet, what are you waiting for?Go have some fun and be creative at Indian Trails Public Library District!

I recently visited the library and I love it ! It’s so organized and they have so many programs for everyone from babies to adults. Librarians are so nice and helpful too ! They do have a nice spot for the kids to play . And there’s a park right behind the library and it’s a big plus for the little ones !

Ever since the pandemic, the people who work there became insane and filled with totalitarianism . I take one sip of water while putting my mask down and worker had the audacity to yell at me for not wearing my mask. While this was …Hello Ricky~ Thank you for sharing the details about your recent experience here at the library. We are sorry to hear about how you felt in your interaction with our staff as that is not the environment that we want to create for our Members. In terms of masks being required here at the library, I want to acknowledge that it isn't an easy thing for anyone, our Members or staff. As a library, and unit of local government, we follow the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health and Cook County Department of Public Health. Both IDPH and CCDPH have a mask mandate for anyone in a public building regardless of vaccination or COVID status. While we will continue to follow the public health orders from both entities we know that things continue to evolve and we will change our approach accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me at 847-279-2222. Thank you. Jen Schmidt, Communications Manager

Hi Deby - are you referring to a card that lets you access digital material only? If so, Indian Trails does not offer that option, but we anticipate making that available sometime after we migrate to a new catalog on October 22. In the meantime, we hope you will come in and sign up for a library card, which will give you access to all print and digital material.
