They help people who can work a job but choose not to. If you have any type of income Your limited or the person that gets bounced around Then your inform that you need to start paying for one month of your hotel then it goes to 2 months of the hotel bill then three I reach three which was more than I even had an income if I didn't choose to get the hotel room and pay for it myself I was being banned from the program other words I would be on the streets . There's people that stay at the shelters or the hotels now have been there for a few years fully capable of working but don't because they get it from Catholic charities and they hire a lot of them at the hotels they used for the homeless. And as far as cleanliness the shelter has been closed so I really shouldn't comment on it but yeah that was very unhealthy not kept clean so I don't recommend them unless you have no income at all. I rarely saw a employee cleaning they would hand out lists of things for the people to do that most ignored. The ones willing to clean for hours are the same ones that still are part of the shelter. Things started to change Every day for 2 hours the people living there had to be out of the house. This was so the employees could clean and sanitize everything. That's what they get paid for.

They have programs beyond the public DSS programs. They have case managers that will help with finding housing and getting employment training or finding gainful employment. They also have a program that will assist people with paying rent expenses and security deposit. They are not a publicly run organization. It is a private non profit. It is an excellent organization in my opinion.
