I brought in my engagement ring and my mothers wedding bands to be reset together. I had no idea what I wanted. Eve took so much time with my husband and I helping me find something that would work with two different styles and sizes of diamonds. She also helped us pick out a style for another ring with my kids birthstones. I picked them up today and they are absolutely breathtaking! My engagement ring is a 100 year old estate piece. I recently moved back to Rochester and needed to find a jeweler to repair the setting. There are various jewelers in the area with good reputations but, when I saw that the Cassarino family owned The Gem Lab, I had to choose them. I went to school (K-12) with two of the Cassarino children. Paul, the current owner, was a year older than me. Knowing what kind of a person he was growing up, I felt fully confident that he is trustworthy and that his skill level and sense of style would be outstanding. Besides having the repairs made to the setting, we followed Paul’s suggestion that we bond the wedding band to the engagement ring to prevent damage to the setting. After the cleaning, repairs and rhodium plating to both rings, the set looks great. The engagement ring is absolutely stunning and my husband and I can’t stop looking at it – the transformation is amazing! Thank you, Paul! The Gem Lab will continue to be our jeweler of choice.
