I went in for a free tire rotation Because they did myTires and told me I needed rear brakes and rotors for 600 bucks and so I'm a diyer and so I took a day off work to fix it myself and after taking the rear tires, brake calibers off to inspect the inner brakes I realized that my rears were perfect! Totally a scam and would never trust this place!!!!!!!!!

This used to be a great shop! I've used them for years and have referred multiple people. They've had a lot of turnover and are apparently under new management and it shows. Long wait times, no follow-up calls to advise car is ready for pick-up. I went to get my car and they were closed. My car had grease spots on it with visible marks. Not sure what on earth they did, but I won't be back.

-Crash Champions / Weavers quoted $1100 to replace “blown out” ball joint & suspension control arm when I went in for oil change. -Made an appointment to have the work done a week later. -Arrived at appointment and was told there was no tech there to do the work. Rescheduled for a few days later. -Got a friend’s recommendation for another auto shop (Shawnee Auto) and took it there to have it checked out in the meantime -Shawnee Auto examined car and concluded there was absolutely nothing wrong with the ball joints. No replacement or repair needed.

Questions & Answers

Don't I have to take my car back to the dealer for regular maintenance and oil changes to maintain my warranty?

How often should I change my oil? Does it really need to be every 3,000 miles?

Weaver's Auto Center | Oct 29, 2021
Weaver's Auto Center | Oct 29, 2021

Some manufacturers still recommend every three to six months or every 3,000 miles. Is it possible to spread it out longer? Sure, it is. However, the cost of oil and a filter is very inexpensive when compared to the expense of replacing parts due to sludge build up or condensation issues. Depending on vehicle age, type of oil and driving conditions, oil change intervals will vary. It is still normal to change the oil every 3,000 miles, but with new oils some engines today have changed their oil change intervals of 5,000 to 7,500 miles. You cannot judge engine oil condition by color, so the best practice is to follow the factory maintenance schedule for oil changes.

Why should I care about who changes my oil?

Weaver's Auto Center | Oct 29, 2021
Weaver's Auto Center | Oct 29, 2021

"New customers often tell us they take their vehicles to one of the many, “Quickie Lube” chain stores, because they believe it is less expensive (and maybe more convenient). When we ask them if they ever smell hot oil after an oil change, they typically respond, “Sure. Isn’t that normal?” It’s not. They are surprised to learn that, and even more surprised when we explain that our pricing is not only competitive, but a better value. That was just the first reason. Secondly, we offer a complete multi-point inspection; front to back, top to bottom, down to your tag bulbs. We don’t do this to sell you anything, but as a vehicle health check so we can advise you of your vehicle’s condition, so you are not surprised! Your family’s safety is a concern. Thirdly, we use only high-quality parts, keep your car clean and don’t try to up sell you like the dealerships. That’s more than 3 reasons, however, we want you to be educated. We never want you to feel strong-armed, but we always want you to know you can trust us. We want to be your vehicle’s trusted “physician”."

Weaver's Auto Center | Oct 29, 2021
