I like shopping at antique places! Each cities I go, I always check them out. I really like this place and will probably spend entire afternoon here if I have time! The store is medium sized, clean and keep things very well. Price is not on the low side but fair, especially if you found something that you're really fond of.

Unfortunately my experience was less than stellar. I attempted to sell some items (jewelry, silver plated flatware, etc) and was greeted by a frosty reception. The woman behind the counter told me to leave the items with a phone number and they would call me. I politely declined the offer, as I had some time to kill. She said “Fine. We’re less likely to buy this way but if you insist….” Giving my items a cursory glance she asked if I had already been to a jeweler. I confirmed that I had. She then threw up her hands and said “Oh then I don’t want ANY of this, and I DON’T appreciate being the ‘bottom of the dredges’” after which our interaction was cut short. I am no stranger to customer service, being that I’ve worked in the industry for well over 10 years. A simple ‘not interested’ or a polite brush off would’ve been well received. My upset has nothing to do with my items not being purchased and EVERYTHING to do with the attitude of the woman who spoke to me in such a dismissive manner. Unfortunately the whole experience left a foul taste in my mouth and I will not be returning to buy. God forbid I attempt to sell again. My concluding thought is that Found in Ithaca might want to consider getting lost because the disrespect was neither appropriate nor appreciated.
