Worst complex to deal with. tried to move in and because the portal wouldn't work they considered me as skipping the apartment and is trying to charge me an outrageous price for move in fees and won't even let me move in. So contacting a lawyer. Do not recommend at all.

I would rank this complex as mediocre at best. From the entire process of touring the complex, moving in, living there for a year, and moving out there was always added inconveniences and unexpected costs. When coming to look at the complex while we were still apartment shopping - times for tours were very limited, especially for someone working full time and moving from out of the area. When we finally did make an appointment (which caused us to need to take PTO from work) the apartment manager wouldn’t even let us see an apartment. She showed us photos she had “just taken” of an apartment that was vacant but still wouldn’t let us go in. We said we wanted to think overnight before we put down our deposit- called first thing in the am to say we wanted it and offered to pay deposit online- they refused and made us drive out with a check only to find someone else came in quicker than we could and they had already rented that apartment. We ended up having to extend our prior apartment 2 month to be able to get a unit that we wanted. Move in was very rushed and the move in inspection was VERY uncomfortable. While living in the apartment you can expect to get regular texts and emails “reminding residents to pick up their dog poop” use extreme caution in the grass - there is always a TON of dog poop all over- especially in the winter. They really need to be more aggressive in motivating the residents to pick up after their pets. Walls are very thin- you can hear people on the stairs at all hours and if there’s a crying baby beneath you and across the hall, trust me, you’ll hear them clearly. They are pet friendly which is nice though - but do expect to pay your fair share between the non refundable deposits, monthly fees, and move out bills. The AC is not sufficient for the apartment size- it doesn’t cool the bedrooms. The move out process was very pressured. Management started texting us 5 months before our 12 month lease was up - I told them we had three months to decide and would be sure to let them know with at least 2 months notice. This wasn’t good enough for them- we got 5 more texts and three letters on the door continually asking. Once we did move out they were complete sticklers on returning your security deposit. They charged for EVERYTHING possible, dirty microwave top $30, dirty oven door $25, etc etc. they even charged us $25 PER slat for blinds. Everyone knows those blinds are super cheap and poor quality and fall off with normal wear and tear of opening and closing, they literally cost $2 a piece. We had 4 damaged (one in each bedroom and 2 at the sliding door) and were charged $100! Absolutely absurd. We left the apartment in great shape, paid our rent on time every month, and were agreeable residents. It’s clean at move in, and will get you by if you need an apartment, but it’s by no means anything special or worthy or anything more than mediocre.

Walls are paper thin. Would not recommend unless you want to hear your neighbor talking at a normal level

My fiance' and I moved into Lakepointe in August of 2019. From the beginning, Jennifer the property manager was very kind and open to answering any questions that we had about the process as this was our first place of our own. Believe me we had A LOT of questions, being new to the process!! Since our move in, they have been very responsive whenever things need to be fixed in the apartment. Jordan is an excellent maintenance staff and is always attentive. Jordan and Jennifer care that the apartments are safe and functional but also look great as well! I appreciate that they care about keeping our apartment a beautiful home as much as we do. For the cost of rent, the size of the apartments is very reasonable and it also currently includes heat/hot water/cable/internet. Our apartment has truly been a wonderful first home for us and we are so thankful to have found Lakepointe!!
