This is a review for the lady rep (didn’t get her name)that today & several others in the past that have hung up mid call “accidentally”. Got hung up on “accidentally “ three times today .. two times just dead air , over 45 minutes wasted holding for a rep .. finally a rep (Rick) who stayed on the phone with me was helpful.. if you can get someone who speaks to you without condescending you then consider yourself lucky! Get the reps name and give them your phone number at the beginning of the call- if they will even let you get that far in the conversation. Thanks Rick for your help

Social Security does not like to see people mistreated. During the pandemic I moved to this area to be with the love of my life. Anyone else who is dealing with negligence, or dealing with this office abusing their power needs to do exactly what I am doing today. I am making a report that will detail the unprofessionalism and also the details that can be dealt with in places above those who cannot handle their job. Disabled people are people too. No one should have a 1 star review. If you’re in this job than your heart should be in the business of caring. Good luck to those who can keep their job after people realize they do not have to be dealt with as ways as this office treats me. Call me a liberal. I’m bringing down your corruption.

NO STARS. have been trying to get survivor benefits for OVER A YEAR. the first person I talked to at this office gave the wrong info which started a domino effect and I still am not getting anywhere. Got many letters from SS office but were all wrong and so they made me start at the beginning waiting for a phone call for months and then STILL NOT GETTING THIS SIMPLE, SIMPLE THING RIGHT..... even after I spoke with numerous supervisors and the supervisor's supervisor. It all depends who you get on the phone the 1st time and if they know what they are doing. I would have gone into the office but there are no office hours STILL so I have to sit and wait until they can figure out the issue and correct it. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. NO ONE there knows what they are doing. and not only that I don't get any interest on a years worth of overdue benefits but they made me pay back a few months because they made a mistake ......... so frustrating that I have to chase them for this long because of the inept employee that handled my first call. only got 1 star cuz they made me do that or you can't post. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL

All depends of how old is she..62 yo I think yes she has to report him dead and file at the same time
I need a new card for my daughter. I need to know when the office is open
If it is not so disability yes you can work I think 2 days a week...or I think you cant make more than 12,000 a year..if get pay more I think you have to pay back 2.00 for every 100. Extra that you make
There is no charge. It takes about 2weeks to receive the replacement card.
Yes... Passport, Driver's license, or State ID.
I do not think so. I was given appointment to come back at a later date and time.
Yes
Pretty sure you need an appointment for anything now a days I would make one just to be on the safe side and bring the proper paperwork
I walked in, waited maybe 20min, out in 30. I also started the application online too. I recommend doing that.
no appointment needed. I went there last week
Yes
When I went there I was told SS personnel were in the Newburgh branch on Tuesday and Thursdays but you need to make an appointment or you won't get into building
obituary and social security card
12pm today on Wednesdays
I really don't The best way can advise is call social security
Just bring your State ID or DL. It does not matter what state your from.
If you take your benefits any time before your full retirement age(66 for most people) they will be reduced.
Yes... You can apply for part a and b. You will need to schedule an appt at the window.
