Ward Meade park is a beautiful old prairie town and the only botanical garden in Topeka. Excited for the glow lights this Friday on September 16th through the first of October. But it's also a beautiful visit just for a daily walk

Small, with some road noise, but such a peaceful place to sit and chat in the shade. We went around 1:00 on a work/school day. Not sure if it's more crowded other times.

There is a section of a railroad and a train car, if that's what you mean.
Tours and festivals are not free. But u can go anytime and enjoy the park and walk threw it with out a cost.
Yes it is open till 8pm tonight but of course Easter could affect it. I'm not 100% sure but they may have something going on for Easter.
