Very rude receptionist, older white woman. The doors are open to the public but if you walk in she'll yell at you demanding to know who you are and tell you you can't come in and kick you out. No hello or anything beforehand. No way to talk to visitors or anyone actually.

Full disclosure, I work part time there. But I took my family for a holiday celebration. The rec therapists, social workers and staff did an excellent job integrating the veterans and visitors. My grandkids loved the experience. The veterans were gracious. Great time had by all

A beautiful super clean and well maintained facility.

As the daughter of a resident, I am totally disappointed! With the lockdowns in place, I haven't been able to actually see my father much, nor have I been able to visit him inside the facility, until recently. Anyway, I finally was able to see him and visit on Sunday, 26 December 2021 and to my disgust, my father was left sitting in his chair in the day room area, totally alone, asleep, his glasses nowhere to be available, no hearing aides and no teeth! Also, dressed in a t-shirt and sweatpants that were so flithy dirty that there didn't seem to be a clean spot anywhere! Obviously, I was not happy by the situation my father was in, so I asked an Aide, if his Nurse in charge of him was available for me to speak with her and I was given the excuse that she was busy with notes, so it'd be a wait til she was available. Well, after waiting approximately 35 mins, I brought the fact of my Dads clothing being dirty to an Aide and she stated that she bathed him the day prior, but for now she'd take him to change his shirt. She then, proceeded to roll him to his room. Needless to say, my father being an Army Veteran, should not be being disrespected in this manner! Just because, he is elderly and has health issues, is NO EXCUSE!!!

They always appreciate an appointment. When my dad was looking to go in we walked in and they were very helpful.

Every veteran is based on service and disability. The waiting list is based on bed availibilty and other factors. You can apply and they will walk you through the process. Best of luck to you and your veteran. I appreciate their service.
If they are a hundred percent disabled and fall under certain criteria they can live in the home and have expenses paid. They also can get free meals and their clothes are washed/ delivered daily. Replaced for damaged or lost goods are free and anything the veteran may need is available. Activites and outings are scheduled for residence so if they have to go to the store or hospital a bus is available to pick them up and take them home. Hope this helps I work at the home so I know a bit. I cant tell the pricing but ya know 😊
There is an alzheimer's unit, if that's what your asking about. I worked in this unit as an lpn charge nurse trainee, but it wasn't my cup of tea, so I moved on. The residents are treated with oil
For veterans, yes. Only 200 beds, and I beleive the list is pretty long.
