I stayed here 24/7 with my mother for three weeks as she was declining after a severe fall and became mortified to see what goes on behind the scenes. I saw care plans blatantly disregarded, intensely sweet desserts served to diabetics, and residents in severe distress. I met a dignified elderly gentleman whose appearance rapidly declined after arrival. One morning, he waited for me to pass by his door and begged me to persuade the staff to bath him. He said they kept putting him off, and it had been a whole week. I felt deeply for him as I realized his unwashed hair, dirty clothes, and beard growth testified to his situation. I immediately intervened, insisting they give him his bath. As they wheeled him off to the shower room, he turned back to me with tears in his eyes as he whispered, "Thank you..." I didn't have the legal power to remove my mother, and my mother wasn't strong enough to be moved. If you have an option to avoid submitting your loved one to these conditions, I hope you will do so.

I have worked in a couple nursing facilities and i am very impressed and appreciate the hard work the staff take to dedicate themselves to the residents.. This is a very calming atmosphere the respect the staff give the residents and the noise level is very low. I encourage all who are seeking either employment or somewhere to place a loved one to go visit.

I don't think there's an age limit, you would need to know the level of care that needs to be provided. If person is needing 24/7 care as in need help with daily task such as toileting, transfers from bed to chair, med management etc. Then this facility is perfect!
If what you mean by daycare services is care during the day, then yes we provide 24/7 nursing care for the elderly with/without dementia as well as rehab --CNA at Wamego Good Samaritan Society
