Huge store with an incredible variety in all the departments. The store is clean, well staffed and easy to find. I needed to get some hiking boots for an upcoming backpacking trip and Tom at the Denver flagship store was super knowledgeable, professional and helpful through the entire process. He was able to answer all of my questions with stunning detail and speed. Super great experience all around.

Just went to REI for the first time. Found what I needed with relative ease. Went to the check out and the cashier (Phil) immediately asked me if I would like to become a member. I quickly said no. But that didn’t discourage Phil. He asked “would you like to hear about the benefits of the membership before you say no?” I agreed to hear him out. His perseverance resulted in me getting the membership. He successfully sold me on the benefits of the program and I walked away with a far greater understanding of what some things in the store were. He was the only employee to interact with me while in the store and he killed it. As far as what I saw in the store today, he was a good salesman and actually cared that I got the most out of my experience.

I've been a member at REI for years and love the store! I always know that everything here is of the highest quality. The styles of hiking and camping wear fit perfectly with my aesthetic. I have to look out for discounts and what they call garage sales to be able to afford things but even so I probably get about half my wardrobe here plus, hiking backpacks, pots and even my preferred at home kitchen can opener, c ration can openers are the best they never break and never get slower. The staff here is usually both friendly and very knowledgeable. Seeing gear out of packages or in person rather then online helps me make good decisions on what to get.

Sandy and Jeanie were amazing and knowledgeable. Came here to shop for a trip to Peru and they found us the perfect clothes and shoes for the trip. Great prices compared to other outdoor stores in the area And a lot of clearance sales.
