This place is beautiful! The Thunder Bay Falls is such a tranquil spot. It is so nice to be able to drive up to and view. It is a great photo op!!!

Not really any trails here for walking, but a very nice quick picture spot. Right off the road, with parking for about 7 cars.

It's like a 15 minute stop, but will end up being an hour, if you have kids :-) and they definitely had fun there, that's all that matters, so here take my five stars!

We were visiting the Galena area and staying in a local b&b. We drove out here one afternoon just for something different and we're slightly disappointed, because it was merely a trickle coming down the falls. It had been pretty dry. That night we had a heck of a storm, so we drove out again the next day. It was lovely very active lots of water. It's close to downtown Galena so it's just a few minutes to drive and it's a beautiful area. Good place to visit.

I would not swim there.. you can get in and walk around. You can see some pretty big fish and turtles in the water too.
There aren't any signs posted about hours that you can be there.
No walk. There are trails near Eagle Ridge, but not by the falls.
The Falls are owned by The Galena Territory Association and are private property. Thunder Bay Road is a public road, as are all roads in The Galena Territory.
There are no roads that actually go along the shore line of the lake.
It's open for public daily and can be easily seen from the road.
