Ruby Tuesday

My mom and I stopped here on Friday during a short trip to West Virginia and I am so very glad we did. My mom was happy to see there was a Ruby Tuesday near our hotel because all the locations nearby us have been long gone. The salad bar was clean and expansive but what was even better was the atmosphere and the employees. Our server Patty made it feel like we were visiting old friends. She was so welcoming and pleasant and made us feel so comfortable. When we were finishing up, we mentioned to her how much we missed Ruby Tuesdays and she called over the manager, David, for us to talk about nearby locations. We ended up talking to David for at least another 20 minutes. He was amazing! He spoke about all the community outreach the restaurant was involved in and how they overcame the struggles of Covid era dining. Who would have thought that stopping for dinner would lead us to such an enriching experience. Truly grateful to have been there.

What happened to this chain? The quality has diminished to less than fast food. Mashed potatoes had been left out so long they formed a crust. Steak was a quarter inch thick at best and not cooked to order. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Seriously.

So nice to be able to get back to a salad bar. Everything was fresh. So good. Troy our server was awesome. Pumpkin cheesecake was really good with fun to share with a friend.
