Well worth the visit. Lots of sandpipers along with a heron and egret. Great view of dunes and estuary.

Please come and enjoy the serenity that is Sweet Springs Audubon Preserve. The views are calming, the bird sounds are nurturing and the quiet is so relaxing. Be sure to donate at the entrance to help us keep this jewel for now and future generations.

Beautiful and peaceful location for birding.

We came here in the late afternoon. We didn't see much land birds. We saw a flock of marbled godwits. I had an interesting conversation to two birding enthusiasts I met on the trail about other birds like owls, belted kingfishers, and other shorebirds. Turns out, it depends on the time of the day, and seasons.

The new path, which leads to a wooden deck and viewing area is wheelchair accessible. There is also a small section of the original viewing area that has a wooden path leading to it. However, the sections between the two are not handicapped friendly.
