Staff was friendly, shop was well organized, but I thought some items were overpriced, like a Old Navy jumpsuit for $25. Minimal options for plus size or anything over a size 10Hi Jenna, Thank you so much for your feedback! I will pass along to the staff. I was floored to hear that an Old Navy jumpsuit was in our inventory (we generally do not take Old Navy), let alone priced at $25. (Woah.) So I did some digging this morning to correct the pricing, per your feedback, and found we only have 1 Old Navy item in our inventory (the marigold jumpsuit you tried on Saturday?) and it's priced at $18.99, not $25. $18.99 still seems a bit high for that item, admittedly, but upon inspection I noticed it is new condition and stinkin' cute. I'm thinking whoever priced this item considered the "market value" of this type of item, (we cannot keep jumpers in stock right now). Nevertheless, we will review our pricing strategy as a team to make sure we continue to uphold standard industry pricing of 25-40% of retail prices (+ new items with or without tags are priced up to 50% of retail prices). I certainly hope you will give us another try...we strive for competitive pricing, run aggressive markdowns/promos, while still honoring our consignors' original investments in their retail goods. Pricing is a delicate balance in the consignment industry and we appreciate the opportunity to provide more detailed information on our strategy. And yes, I would agree that there are limited options for any sizes over 10. We are always eager (desperate even) to receive sizes 10+ & L/XL. We have historically struggled to represent 10+ in an appropriate ratio to the other sizes. If you have those sizes to get rid of we'd love to display them for you! We don't have a parking lot unfortunately. There is plenty of street parking on Fulton which is free on the weekends and spots in the surrounding neighborhood. Our neighborhood is very walk-able with lots of other awesome shops! We hope to see you soon!
To keep you safe we.... 🗓 accept appointments for Drop-offs and Pick-ups to limit number of people in the store. 🔥 sterilize hangers and fitting room after each try-on session. 👯♂️👯♂️ limit the number of customers in the store at one time. 😷 require face coverings (nose and mouth must be covered). ➡️⬅️ request shoppers and employees to maintain six feet of distance from one another. 🛡 install a plexi-shield at cashwrap area and execute contactless checkout. clean and sanitize regularly high-touch areas like fitting rooms, credit-card machines, keypads, counters, and other surfaces. 🖐 offer hand sanitizer or sink area to wash hands thoroughly. 👚 request shoppers to be mindful and limit the handling of product. 👩🏻 limit staffing and hours to the minimum number necessary to operate. 🤕 request customers and employees not to enter if they are or have recently been sick. We accept all sizes! We look for brands such as Madewell, J Crew, Banana Republic, Free People and Anthropologie labels.
We only have a few! We often refer people to Second Dance or Rosa's Closet for formal gowns.
Urban Exchange is a consignment shop. You can bring your clothing to us and we will determine what to sell it for. Once sold you will be given a percentage of the sale. Feel free to stop in for more information.
