Recently called ahead to seek Dewalt warranty support (they are the only ones in the entire Central Coast) and they said it was fine, to come right in. I drove from Atascadero to Santa Maria and immediately they were complaining about Dewalt Corporate's warranty support and that it was unlikely they could help (intermittently failing motor, likely blown hall sensor on a lightly used 60V string trimmer, issue happened before 2 years, brought in well before the 3 years warranty expiration. They called Dewalt, gave them a grossly over-simplified explanation of the issue without any context ("bad motor") and were apparently turned down. They should not continue selling and supporting Dewalt if they're going to act like this AND indeed Dewalt is so awful at supporting these "Dewalt-Authorized" style service centers. Also, they should have given me some heads up when I called in (due diligence) so I didn't waste hours of time. I had much better luck in the past with a genuine Dewalt Service Center in/around Hayward CA.
