Best filming studio in Salt Lake City. Krista has done some extensive renovations, and the sound quality in her sound stage is second to none. Highly recommend this studio for music recording, video production, or any other type of studio recording or digital media production!

Ignite Studios is an amazing find. Their green screen and Cyc walls are fantastic and their soundproofed sound stage is amazing. You're right by multiple busy streets and I-15 but once you're on the sound stage it is silent. This is an ideal production space for just about anything you'd need and the price is great too!

This studio is BEAUTIFUL! And the sound dampening is outstanding. I would recommend this location to anyone. It even worked well for a blacklight shoot we did. Thanks Ignite!

The first thing that I was really impressed with was the size of the sound stage. Most studios we have gone to are not sound proof and our mics always picked up something from outside. Amazingly that was not the case here. The room tone and sound was perfect for our shoot. Also the AC was still able to work and we never heard it. Very helpful when dealing with hot lights and long days. Krista, the owner, was such a good host. She made sure we had everything we needed for the shoot. She never got in the way and was just a joy to have around. She even modeled for us when we needed to set up. There is so much potential here. There is so much you can do wether it’s podcasts, TV shows, corporate training videos, and music. We can’t wait to do more projects here.

How much time you would need to rent our video production studio depends on the material that youll be working on. For YouTube content, at least one hour would be enough to shoot a 10 to 20-minute video. But for music videos, it can take you at least 8 hours (equivalent to one day of renting) or more, depending on how simple or complicated your video is.
Yes, you can produce your recorded music both audio and video at Ignite Studios.

If you already have music recording equipment, recording at home is cheaper. If you don’t have equipment, such as microphones, editing software, mixers, and other essential elements, you’ll have to balance the cost of purchasing all that gear against the cost of studio rental fees. However, there’s another factor to consider as well: a music recorded in a soundproof space will sound much better than one recorded at home. Traffic sounds, sirens, and other ambient noises can make their way into an at-home recording. Not so in a soundproof room, such as the audio recording room at Ignite Studios. The acoustic features of our studio lend to the highest quality audio possible!

Spotify is the biggest free podcast listening app. Other free applications are Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, TuneIn Radio, and Stitcher.
If you’re a podcaster, you have to think about a lot of variables before deciding whether to produce an audio or video podcast. You must establish where your potential subscribers would subscribe to you: on Spotify, YouTube, or some other platform. You should also think about yourself and your visitors: do you want to be heard, seen, or both?
Video podcasting is growing in popularity. To create a video podcast, just layer on the visual element to the sound. In practical terms, this means you need to have cameras set up to film the speaker. Or, if you have multiple participants, such as in an interview format, you will need to have multiple cameras filming. If your episode has remote participants (for example, if the host is in Los Angeles and a guest is in New York City), each participant will need to have their camera set up and working before the episode officially begins. (It’s best as well if they each have a quality microphone). A video podcast can be uploaded to YouTube and other video-first platforms, giving it a potentially broader exposure compared to an audio-only experience which would be streamed only through audio-only apps such as Spotify.
While you certainly can make a podcast without a mic, we don’t recommend it. A quality microphone will enhance the audio quality of your production immeasurably. Your voice will sound much better with a mic, and background sound (if not in a soundproof space) may be minimized with a quality mic. For the best audio quality, go with a good microphone.
Spotify, Apple and other podcast listening platforms are free. Each of these platforms would have their own set of rules on how to link your podcast from your hosting service.
You can start a podcast for free. Note that you must have a hosting platform (such as Capitvate, Buzzsprout, Castos, Transistor.fm) to upload your podcasts before you can stream them on Spotify or Apple . While Spotify and Apple are free, hosting platforms are only free to some extent; to upload unlimited content, you need to pay for subscription.
An interview is a conversation between a host and a guest and can be done across multiple venues: a live event, a YouTube video, a television show, or a radio show. Podcasting as a medium lends itself well to the interview format, and many of the top podcasters, such as The Tim Ferris Show, The Joe Rogan Experience, and Flow Radio Collective, are primarily interview-style. Other types of podcasts are solo, panel, storytelling (fiction or non-fiction), and conversation podcasts. Depending on your goals, any of the podcast types will work for you. In summary, a podcast can be done in an interview format, and an interview can be broadcast as a podcast.
Anyone can produce a podcast and call themselves a podcaster. There’s no rule that says you can only make one if you’re a professional. Renting a podcasting studio empowers even the novice to sound like a veteran podcaster!

A podcast studio is where the “action” takes place. This is where you, as a podcaster, will record your story or conduct interviews. A podcast studio typically has walls that are soundproof and has the essential equipment like a microphone, headphones, a computer with recording and editing software, and other tools to ensure your podcast worth is worthy of your listeners. In Salt Lake City, a lot of podcast studios have sprouted up of late. Ignite Studios, however, is the top SLC space for Utah podcasters, both experienced and newbie alike.
Our large soundstage is 1900 square feet, which is large enough for many types of shots that movies use. Really, it depends on the nature of the film and the creativity of the director. If you’d like to visit and assess our filmmaking potential for yourself, contact us to arrange a tour!
The typical film production process includes pre-production (brainstorming, conceptualization, budgeting), production or principal photography (actual filming, shooting or taping) and post production (editing, dubbing, mixing). At Ignite Studios, aside from renting filming studio facilities, we also offer post-production services with editing equipment, and our in-house editor for hire.
Studio filming or studio production refers to any audiovisual media (including films, TV programs, digital content) shot and produced in a studio or soundstage. Unlike in open field, producers or advertisers prefer to tape in a studio to control aspects such as noise and lighting.
No, smoking is not permitted in most film studios. We at Ignite Studios do not allow smoking in our recording studios in SLC. Aside from the detrimental impacts on one’s health, smoking also harms studio equipment due to the toxic substances of the cigarette.

The average soundstage size ranges from 1500 square feet to 50,000 square feet. Our soundstage at Ignite Studios is 1,900 square feet.
The purpose of a soundstage is to cater to productions that require a bigger stage to shoot on. Films or TV series that have a lot of special effects using green screen are the usual renters of soundstages. However, if you’re a smaller producer and want a soundstage to have that theatrical effect in your video, then you can still rent a soundstage.
A soundstage (or sound stage) is a larger studio that is mostly used for visual production such as TV shows and films. A studio—whether a TV or audio recording studio and commonly referred to as a sound studio—is smaller than a soundstage, but both “studios” are soundproof and use some of the same equipment.
Filmmakers and producers prefer to shoot in a studio because they have the control of almost everything in the environment, from noise, traffic, weather, set design, and more. It’s also easier for them to use green screen or blue screen for special effects, and shoot stunts.
If you’re on a tight budget, we recommend shooting on location. However, if you have the funds but lack the necessary equipment, such as cameras, lapels, microphones, and lights, it is preferable to rent a filming studio.

Whether you should record at home or in a studio depends on whether you are recording for personal or business purposes. While technology has made it possible to record at home, renting a studio to record or film is a preferable alternative because it is soundproof and includes all of the required equipment (such as lights and microphones) to make your audio and video materials look professional.

As a result, we offer the state-of-the-art editing equipment available for you to rent in order to edit your final product. You can also engage our editor to assist you in getting the best result possible.
A recording studio is usually divided into two parts: the actual studio, where the production takes place and where equipment such as microphones, instruments, cameras, and other items are stored; and the control room, where engineers, producers, and other production staff usually standby and manage the audio and light consoles, camera angles, and other aspects of the production. At Ignite Studios, you can shoot a film, record a podcast, film a YouTube video, create a music album, or whatever your creativity tells you to do!
