They do. You have to go in the store, and let them look at what you're trying to sell.
Yeah, you would have to call them, or possibly bring the collection in, let them see the condition, and if it's opened and assembled, or if it's still sealed in it's original packaging. All those factors comes into play when judging the value of something.

That isn't a question it's a statement. You can also check online. I know there is a book published annually called the Overstreet Price Guide. It's the Kelly Blue Book of comic books. They list every comic published and what their value is.
