Wow! Wow! Wow! This garden is absolutely beautiful, and is definitely worth spending the day here. I’d recommend packing a lunch and eating in the garden, there is tons of cute and quiet sitting areas all over the garden.

Great place to take a date. Fun educational place for kids (and adults)! They have a lovely venue that can be rented.

Absolutely love the gardens!

Yes! There are tables throughout the walking areas, and a great open gazebo in the water conservation area up top.
Alba, hi! Red Butte Gardens is open year round and has lots of different activities. Right now they are operating a bit differently than usual. When you purchase a ticket, you get to do it in advance and you get to schedule the time slot in which you will be visiting the gardens. Other changes include concerts have been cancelled and some classes are still going on, just virtually. Check out their website for information. Also check out the memberships. I do not work for the Red Butte Gardens; I am, however, one of the members (membership saves me a lot of money for the gardens). I hope this helps you and you enjoy the gardens. My favorite is the Fragrance Garden!
There are several parking lots depending on where the wedding is actually taking place. I suggest parking at the main building lot as this is generally where the indoor parts of wedding are held for receptions and meals.
If it is the NW gate closer to the University, that is where you enter for summer concerts

This is Jayne at the Garden. The wisteria will bloom within the next few weeks. The blooms will last a number of weeks, unless we get a cold snap.
Red Butte Garden is a beautiful place for photographs. There is an admission price for non-members, and there is a photo policy (and fee) if you are planning a shoot with a professional photographer. The details are on the website. Due to COVID-19 protocols, guests must register online before visiting.
Many beautiful wind chimes!
Thank you Red Butte - this policy assures everyone has a great experience.
The Garden closes to the public at 5PM on concert days. During the show, concertgoers are offered limited access to stroll through a small section of the Garden near the Amphitheatre.
Yes 😊
Should be fine but check with the check in desk
Yes! The photos I posted were taken in early March one year
Yes the trails are easily accessible. They accommodate with elevators and secondary paths. If you find an area that could use improvement, stop by and leave a staff member a comment.
$14 for anyone 18-64
Check out the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, popular with mountain bikers.
They allow "candids" as in "ask a stranger to take a picture of you all using your phone it camera". Portrait Photography, which I think is what you're asking about, requires a separate photo permit. I've included the relevant excerpt from their website below: Photography Policy Portrait Photography Photographers and videographers who conduct portrait photography at Red Butte Garden are required to purchase a Portrait Photography Permit which is available at either a daily or yearly rate. Definition of Portrait Photography: Red Butte Garden defines portrait photography as wedding, engagement, family portraits, or other posed portraiture of individuals by professional photographers/videographers or by amateurs acting in the role of a professional. Daily Permits: A Portrait Photography Permit for non-exclusive use of the Garden may be purchased for $100 per day and covers the admission fee for the photographer and one assistant.
I wejt beciase of a wedding taking place and i swear its thr way to go. In this case didnt have to pay anything
There are wasps everywhere, period.
The Marriott at University Park is within walking distance.
They don't have animals at Red Butte Gardens. I think you're thinking of Thanksgiving Point, or This Is The Place. Most of the baby animal days have ended now.
All seasons are nice in Red Butte Gardens. But I would wait for the blooming of the daffodils in March.
