I was referred to Visiting Angels from an Eldercare expert to help with my Mom’s care. Denise from VA was literally the shepherd I needed to get the appropriate care for my mom. My moms challenges with memory and speech and her neighbors awareness helped me understand the in-home caretaker needs for Mom. VA outlined the services available, flexibility, costs and proper expectations with the caretaker services. Within a short time, I had 2 in-home caretaker 7 days a week to manage moms daily needs. This was available during holidays too. I am so grateful for VA bringing us Rose who was my eyes and ears of mom during the week. This was extremely beneficial to me as I live in another state away from Mom. Thank you Denise, Rose, and the entire VA organization. You provided safety and relief at a time when I really needed it!

Would highly recommend Visiting Angels, Denise is truly a caring and wonderful person. I was looking into having a nurse come for after surgery care for my mother, and Denise was so patient and caring as we went through the process and she asked all the questions to try to find the right type of nurse. In the end I ended up not needing it, and when I called to tell Denise her reaction was she was so happy my mom was okay and didn't at all seem bothered that I would no longer need services. I truly appreciated her response and her care. Based on her level of detail and care, I'd highly recommend this company and specifically Denise for all of your needs.

In June 2021 many of us were thinking life was returning back to some kind of “normal”, summer was upon us, and there was a light at the end of a long tunnel of so much uncertainty. As a teacher, I was too happy to leave the challenges of virtual life and get back to real life. To say receiving the call that my healthy 78 year old mother had a stroke, was at the very least, unexpected and at the most achingly scary. Without my dad alive, and my sisters out of town, it was all on me to ensure her well-being. After 7 weeks of navigating the tapestry of hospitals, doctors’ appointments, insurance, Medicare, and my mom’s basic needs, the calendar crawled toward my need to return to work. I knew she was not yet strong enough to be left alone, and I would not trust anyone else to care for her. When I told her I would take a permanent leave, her response was a resounding no, thus entering a new maze of finding the right caregiver. Covid kicked back in with a new variant, my mom was still weak, and I didn’t know how or where to begin… Enter Visiting Angels! After only moments of speaking with Denise Ben-Haim, Client Services Advisor, my heart stopped racing, my nerves were suppressed and within a day she was sitting in our living room with a clear vision for what we needed in a caregiver. No request was too much. No question went unanswered. 48 hours later Edith entered our lives, took my mom under her arm, and said “I am here for you.” Edith is not just my mom’s caregiver, she is a part of our family and we can’t thank her or Visiting Angels enough for the resounding peace they brought to our hearts.
