Seems all the scout projects get installed with no plan of how to upkeep. Maybe before another tether ball pole or disc golf course is installed someone should come up with a maintenance plan. The park is nice, just seems the projects are ignored after installment. That's an idea for another Eagle Scout project.

Because some people do not clean up after a dog goes #2, and that leaves a mess for all those kids that use the park.
Yes - picnic shelters can be used for birthday parties and are available to rent at our parks for a small fee. To request the use of a shelter on a particular date/time, please go to the following link - https://www.pendercountync.gov/public-use-of-county-facilities/ Someone will respond to you within 48 hours to confirm availability and send an invoice to pay in order to receive a permit for the shelter use.

I believe that as long as the fields are not closed from rain they are open for anyone to use.
