Nice place, however the Idaho falls power Co. I is on high alert.. They will come sweat you just for hanging out. Seem like they are agents not engineers... Be careful don't antagonize them

Loved spending time at Gem Lake. It is great for taking the family paddle boarding or kayaking for the day. Calm water makes it easy to paddle. There is also water access for small boats. Love the small area designated for swimming to keep children contained. The “beach” area is a bit rough on the feet, so I recommend water shoes or sandals. Plan for your kids to come home a bit dirty and for it’s kind of dirt/sand to play in. There are bathrooms available. Plenty of parking space. Great little place for easy water access in Idaho Falls.

Amazing place to come spend the day. There's a lake for both kids and adults to play in. 3 feet into the lake is not that deep but it gets deep really fast as you progress inwards. There's also sheds and a coal grill to make your own barbecue. Bring a tent or blanket to sit in the grass incase the sheds are occupied. There's a boat dock to let in boats, or jet ski. If you have ship, please don't bring it, it won't fit in the dock.
