I have 2 Master's degrees a Bachelor's in Communications and 2 Associate' s degrees. I'm also a student working on my Doctoral degree in Strategic Communications. Additionally, I owned a small business for 13 years. I dropped my resume off more than 6 months ago and never heard back along with the city of Kinston jobs site. I stopped in to check up with the front desk and a lady yelled from the back "we haven't heard back from anyone!" I guess they only deal with general labor jobs. My personal opinion is that the city of Kinston, Lenoir County and Megaforce is intimidated by a Black woman with 6 college degrees!! Discrimination and nepotism is probably why Kinston has a bad reputation, lots of dilapidated and vacant homes, a ghost town for downtown, bad roads, crime and a lazy city council and mayor. They're not open to fresh people or ideas!
