Nice hotel, great location. Amenities (or lack of) weren't worth the stay. Our AC didn't work in the room, maintenance wasn't available until next day. We were offered another room, but we would lose features without a room discount. So we settled for a box fan. Continental breakfast consisted of waffles, stale muffins, and hard boiled eggs. Had to pay for breakfast elsewhere for any variety. Ice machine? Nope, you have to buy that. For the price we paid, we just expected more! Probably wouldn't stay here again.

We stay in a one room suite towards the end of May. The room was nice, breakfast options were good, and pool and hot tub was nice as well. Staff was friendly. My only complaint was the sauna. It isn't that big of a deal but if you are a person like me that gets excited about sauna's you will be disappointed. They had several signs up that said something along the lines of "don't put water on the sauna heater, it is electric and water will damage the heater." Just looking at it I am 95% sure the heater was made to put water on, if it really was supposed to be a dry heater it sucked. I left it on the highest setting for 45 minutes and the air in the sauna probably only got to about 90 degrees. Either way, the set up is essentially useless. Probably not a big deal for most people, but it was frustrating for me as I get exited about using a sauna.

I enjoyed my stay at The Pointe. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Hotel was very nicely decorated and the public areas were clean. The room itself was mostly clean as there was a can left behind underneath a chair that I only saw when on the balcony. A minor detail but housekeeping should look underneath furniture. Speaking of the furniture it all looked very nice and was extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed how they furnished the rooms and the detail on some of the lamps and such. The kitchenette was a nice thing to have in the room. And the silverware included came in handy. The freezer having an ice maker was nice as well. There is a balcony in the room that offers really nice views of the water. And makes for nice relaxation or sunbathing. The pool/hot tub area is really nice and spacious. The locker rooms are both very large and come with everything you need in there. Overall this hotel is a really nice place to stay in the area. If you can overlook minor issues with room quality or other things. Then this is the place for you.

Lovely place. Wonderful views. Close to downtown. They offer breakfast in the morning, a great pool, sauna & hot tub for general use. Huge spa bathtub in my room too! It was fun watching the snowmobiles on the lake. Definitely coming back here.
