So HTC contractors directionally bored into my service line on Grand Strand's side of my water meter. I contacted GSWS. Days later, they don't have any knowledge of my phone calls reporting the damage and asking about the repair. Then today I go to wash my hands and my water is off. There's no warning or notification of how long it'll last. An estimated outage time would be nice to share on the automated message. Instead you have to wait for customer service to answer the phone to get a rough estimate.

Water line break reported 3 days ago to GSW. No one has come out, no response when they will be out to make the repair. Meanwhile water is flooding yatds.

Our meter was inaccessible because the meter box was collapsed by a large pine tree root, so we couldn’t access the valve to turn off water to replace the water heater. Our house doesn’t have a main shut off valve inside. Called in the morning, crew came out same day by noon, they cleared & cut the big roots, replaced the meter box and marked location in 30 minutes. Great customer service. Prompt response. 17 year customer here.
