I thought the place looked nice. I would consider living there. The manager is not personable. I took pictures of books, without permission, which led to a discussion. I thought the books might say something about the people living here, and in turn, if I wanted to join them. I wouldn't have thought of this if I hadn't seen a book by Zadie Smith. I told him she won the Orange prize. The manager said these were left by random people and didn't think it reflected anything. Not exactly welcoming. He was more concerned with the photos. I said I could delete them off my phone right then and there but he demurred. I didn't enjoy that discussion. He wasn't interested in what I was doing or what I thought. He either didn't like me or didn't approve.
